 Iran, Bulgaria Prepared For Economic, Transit, and Transport Cooperation

MRUD NEWS—Iran Minister of Roads and Urban Development, Mohammad Eslami, met with Bulgaria's ambassador in Iran, Ms. Nikolina Kuneva, on 28 September 2020 to discuss cooperation for development in economic, transit, and transport.

In this meeting, two parties emphasized on implementation of previously achieved agreements during joint economic cooperation commission headed by the transport ministers of the two countries.

Eslami appreciated Bulgaria's mutual cooperation in easing transport and transit particularly in road fleet sector during covid-19 pandemics and underlined rail transport cooperation, launching scheduled flights, and expanding cooperation in economic and commercial sectors of the two countries.

Moreover, following the video-conference meeting of transport ministers of Iran and Bulgaria in 17 June 2020, it was decided that the representatives of the two countries hold the committee of follow-up so that, including the follow-up of 19th summit's agreement, set the agenda of the next summit which is to be held in this year in Tehran.

For this purpose, the two countries introduced their representatives for follow-up committee.
