MRUD News reported from the sidelines of the meeting between Iran and Germany for the signing of a MoU between Iran’s Airports and Navigation Company and Germany’s Fraport AG, quoted Asghar Fakhrieh-Kashan on IranAir’s contract with ATR for the purchase of 20 short-haul 70-seat airliners.
“The contract has been finalized and is going to be signed soon”, Fakhrieh-Kashan stated.
He added that the contract with ATR is in the process of obtaining IranAir’s internal licenses and will be signed soon, similar to the contracts between IranAir, Airbus and Boeing for the purchase of a total of 180 airliners.
Fakhrieh-Kashan stated that the contract with ATR is valued at $400 million.
He further added that 2 more Airbus airliners are going to be delivered in the next two to three months and that IranAir’s contract with Boeing has been signed and finalized.
Fakhrieh-Kashan stated that the total amount of the three contracts (with Airbus, Boeing, and ATR) is valued at less than $18 billion.
