 Iran, Sweden Sign Road Transport MoU

MRUD NEWS—During the visit of Prime Minister of Sweden to Iran at the head of a high-level economic and commercial delegation, a MoU in international road transport was signed between Iran and Sweden at the presence of Dr. Rouhani and Stefan Löfven on February 13, 2017.
Mohammadjavad Atrchian, the General Director of Transit and International Transport, added that an agreement for international road transport for goods and passengers was signed after expert meetings for developing the relations in road transport.

Atrchian added that in this MoU, the two parties should attempt to examine the possibility of increasing the annual licenses for transit of cargo between the two countries.

One of the main achievements of this MoU is the possibility of pursuing the international road transport goals between the two countries by environmental-friendly vehicles, he explained.

Noteworthy about 200 Iranian trucks annually travel to Sweden.
