 Iran, Oman Commercial and Marine Transactions Boosting

MRUD NEWS—Iran Minister of Roads and Urban Development, Mohammad Eslami, met with Oman Minister of Commerce and Industry, Ali bin Masoud al Sunaidy, on 8 December 2019 to sign the MoU for commercial and marine cooperation.

The MoU is the second document signed between Iran and Oman for marine transport that one of its main topics had been the seafarer certification.   

According to this MoU, the Shipping Lines will be operated regularly between Iran and Oman. Moreover, this agreement will subsequently ease the way to use the ports of the two countries.

Eslami emphasized on expanding the relations and developing interactions as it is requested by businessmen.

Eslami added that Iranian engineering companies are willing to be active in Oman that we hope it will further facilitate the commercial relations between the two countries.

On licensing the airline, Iran's Minister also explained that including three Iranian airlines which have regular flight to Oman, the licenses for two Omani Companies are issued on which we are currently negotiating for increasing the flights.   

Ali bin Masoud al Sunaidy also attending in the ceremony of signing the agreement expressed his pleasure for signing this agreement after 3 years and said that "…once all versions of agreements are received and submitted it to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the agreement will be enforced".
