MRUD NEWS—Iran Minister of Roads and Urban Development, Mohammad Eslami, met with Qatar Minister of Transport and Communications, HE Jassim Saif Ahmed Al-Sulaiti, on 15 February 2021 in order to discuss bilateral cooperation in the transport sector between the two countries.
Welcoming HE Al-Sulaiti, Eslami emphasized on the embedded and unchangeable cultural and border commonalities between Iran and Iraq and added that "there are numerous opportunities to expand mutual cooperation".
Iran Minister of Roads and Urban Development recounted that "the US Administration has besieged Iran for more than 40 years. This has imposed great burdens to Iran but simultaneously has led to its independence and progress".
Eslami informed of his country's readiness to share these achievements with its neighboring countries.
Iran Minister of Roads and Urban Development appreciated cooperation of the Government of Qatar with Iran during hard conditions of coivd-19 outbreak. Qatar never stopped its flights and helped Iran in many aspects which will be remembered in the history of bilateral relations.
Mohammad Eslami, mentioned that we welcome any agreement and cooperation with the Government of Qatar in the transport sector and we believe these cooperations can be constructive for the two Nations as well as other neighboring countries.
Eslami added that Iran belongs to all cultural ethnicities and religious groups including the Arabs, Baluch, Kurds, Lur, Turkmens, Azeri, and other ethnicities and they live with harmony alongside each other.
HE Al-Sulaiti assessed the meeting positive and invited Iran Minister of Roads and Transport to come to Qatar in order to visit active and under construction projects in the transport sector of this country.
