MRUD news has cited IRNA quoting Asghar Fakhrieh Kashan, Iran’s Deputy Minister in International Affairs at the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development that in 2018 Iran Air is going to receive 8 ATR72-600 passenger planes from ATR Company.
Furthermore, as per the contract between Iran Air and Airbus, following advance payments on the part of Iran Air, three Airbus aircraft would also be delivered in 2018, Fakhrieh Kashan added.
“Nothing has changed in the contract with Boeing Company but due to US President’s unpredictable decisions we have to avoid taking risks,” Fakhrieh Kashan noted with regards to Iran Air’s contract with Boeing. According to this contract, Boeing should deliver 3 airplanes to Iran in 2018.
Fakhrieh Kashan also referred to Iran commitments to the nuclear deal, stating that any limitation imposed by the US on delivering Boeing planes to Iran is against JCPOA.
