Iran, Turkmenistan, Kazakistan, Azerbaijan Rail Cooperation Discussed

MRUD NEWS—Head of Islamic Republic Railway, Saeed Rasouli, that accompanied Iran Minister of Roads and Urban Development during visit to Turkmenistan for attending the joint Ministerial forum of five coastal nations of the Caspian Sea met CEO and deputies of Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan Railway to discuss bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the rail sector.
Moreover, different issues including departure of Chinese and Iranian container trains and implementation of approved commitments in the protocols of China container corridor were discussed.
Rasouli also met the transport ministers of Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan and discussed the strategies to develop rail cooperation.
Forming steering committees and technical taskforces to follow up and implement the decisions of the joint Ministerial forum of five coastal nations of the Caspian Sea and launching comprehensive cooperation between the Caspian Sea countries has been among important agenda of CEO of Islamic Republic of Iran's Railway visit with this Azerbaijani and Turkmenistani counterparts.
In this multilateral visit, Saeed Rasouli, Shahram Adamnejad as Transport Deputy, Kheirollah Khademi, CEO of Construction and Development of Transport Infrastructure Company of Iran, and representatives from the Ministry of Industry, Mines, and Agriculture, Iran Chamber of Commerce, as well as Iran Ministry of Foreign Affairs accompanied Mohammad Eslami in this two-day visit.
