Iran and Azerbaijan Expand Rail and Road Transit Lines

MRUD News—Iran Minister of Roads and Urban Development, Mohammad Eslami, in the visit with Minister of Transport of Azerbaijan Republic, emphasized on resolving the custom problem for freight of Azerbaijanis' passengers of Nakhchivan through joint commission and told "we are seriously to expand rail and road transit lines between the two countries".
At the sideline of inaugurating Qazvin-Rasht Railway, He also met with Azerbaijan minister of Economy, and CEO of Azerbaijan's railway.
In these mutual meetings, Eslami reiterated that development and expansion of infrastructures would help increase transactions between the two countries.
He also expressed hope over rail connection of Rasht to Astara upon choosing contractor to construct this line.
