MRUD News— Deepak Mittal, Director at the Ministry of External Affairs of India, attending at the first follow-up committee for the implementation of Chabahar Agreement told that Chabahar Port is the gateway of Nations and a very good linking point between Iran, south Eurasia, India, and Afghanistan.

He pointed to the Iran-India-Afghanistan trilateral agreement and called it as historical and memorable.

What is being done in follow-up committee for the implementation of Chabahar Agreement is planning, and analyzing related protocols to determine how Iran, India, and Afghanistan can play more effective role in transports, logistics, and trade of the region, he explained.

He pointed to the opening the operating bureau of IPGL Company in Chabahar Port and hoped that this company would initiate its operations in Iran.

A trilateral agreement was signed by Presidents of Iran and Afghanistan and Prime Minister of India in May 2016 between Iran, India, and Afghanistan in order to facilitate, accelerate, and improve transit and commerce by connecting India and Afghanistan to Central Asian countries through Chabahar Port.
